Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) San Diego is a nonprofit medical clinic serving low-income, uninsured families in San Diego County, California. VIM cares for people who do not qualify for Medicare and have no insurance of any kind. They do this by engaging volunteer doctors, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, interpreters and other community members who have a passion for our mission and demonstrate the “Culture of Caring” and kindness on which the VIM Clinic was founded.
Do you want to help others receive quality healthcare? VIM SD offers a unique and rewarding structure to practice your skills and receive in return far more than you imagine.
They are always looking for volunteers and are especially looking for those who fluently speak Arabic or Spanish and are familiar with medical terminology. This is a now a pre-approved field experience opportunity for GHP students!
